It is evident that, over the years, National Institute of Hotel Management (NIHM), has aimed at supporting and developing the hotel industry and other tourism related sectors by producing trained manpower ever needed to elevate the existing standard. It has not only played a significant role in fulfilling the increased demand of the trained hotelier, but also in assisting the trained professionals by providing various consultancy services as well.



Students can begin their Internship & Project work at the time of 5th Semester of the Degree Course under the guidence of a Mentor to give them hands-on exposure for skill building. Students of Diploma and Craft course will finish their Internship and Project work in the end semester of the respective course. NIHM will facilitate all the students in Internship at 5 star and 5 star deluxe properties in the country. Studets are expected to follow the guidelines of the College/ University as well as the hotel authorities issued from time to time. The students will be required to submit an Internship Project Report duly approved by the Mentor and will have to make a  presentation before a panel of experts followed by VIVA.


NIHM has a very well equipped library facility for its students and staffs. Students can lend books for reading from the library for permitted duration. There is online reading facility of subject-wise course materials available with the college e-learning portal. Students have access to such online study materials with their own log-in and password. Students will also be provided with the hard copy of reading materials covering the course syllabous to facilitate self-learning. Contact classes for theory and practicals subjects are held on regular basis to support each and every students on all the papers. Students will be given subject related Assignments and Activities during their learing for Formative and Summative Assessments. Assignments in each course have to be completed on or before due date.
